Gator Realty of Polk was established in 1974 by our broker/owner Tom Scharar which makes us one of the oldest and most trusted firms in the central Florida area. Tom Scharar graduated from Lakeland High School and Florida Southern College. Afterwards he served 6 years in the United States Army Reserves. He is a graduate from the Real Estate Institute (GRI) and was a past director of the Lakeland Board of Realtors.
